FAWN 2022
Fawn - a new vineyard (for us). Brendan Cameron of Lansdowne share our view of organic viticulture and we are thrilled with this new partnership. The second vintage of those grapes is currently fermenting in barrel, and we hope it’ll turn out as good as the first one. Wine aged in old French barrels, untopped, so it developed that light nutty, oxidatif side to it. You could almost call it old-school, but the buttery character is feather-light. Quite austere.
We were in hope that this year we could celebrate peace in Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is not the case. As in 2022, 10% of Fawn sales proceeds will be donated to UNHCR who support safe access, critical protection services, and humanitarian assistance for refugees and third-country nationals fleeing from Ukraine.

Counting Stars 2022
Cool ripening season provided an opportunity to make something as flavoursome with less alcohol in it, which is always a bonus. This year we’ve engaged in stirring the lees while in barrel, as a final touch to the textural essence. A light orange wine, pithy, aromatic and precise. One of the many beautiful expressions of Chardonnay.

Inner Space 2021
This wine was inspired by our long term fascination with all things oxidative. A project that took 2 years in the making and much longer to conceive. Chardonnay that spent 18 months under flor, untopped. As a result, nutty goodness. Rich yet lifted, fluid yet precise. A sapid poem.
We really like the way wines evolve when exposed to a slow, but continuous oxygen ingress. It really turns something delicious into something even more delicious.

SUNSHINE ON MY SKIN 2022
Our 9th year of working with Burnton Ridge in Mt. Torrens. We are so grateful for Mike & Margaret's careful touch in the vineyard and their joyful spirit that we think is shown in the wines coming from this beautiful place.
Sandy loam over red clay. Made oxidatively. 2 weeks on skins, then pressed into old French oak. Curry leaf, white pepper, customary apricot sorbet. Texture for days. Scrumptious.

This year we are celebrating 10 years of working with Ernst!
We already talked a lot about this remarkable vineyard, dry grown fruit, the result of Ernst's utmost care and love combined with the ocean winds. It is purely magical.
Alluvial clay, 29 yrs old vines results in blackberries and cinnamon. And plums and herbs. And more cinnamon. Precise. Savoury edge. Lush and juicy. It is, as always, our winter treat.

Eau d’amis No. 4
Third year into this fantastic collaboration with Scintilla Wines. All the white varieties made into wine in 2022 made it into this delicious drop too. Chardonnay, Viognier, Sémillon, Sauvy B, Pinot Gris and so on. Blended with the best aged organic grape spirit around, the resulting mix was left in barrel for a year, untopped.

This wine has a similar story as Eau d'Amis #4, but one that involves red grape juice (Shiraz, Pinot noir, Tempranillo, Grenache et al.). Light and smooth.
