Over the years, Fawn has become synonymous with finesse.
Rich, flinty, nutty and luscious, a truly elegant and precise wine.
Organic chardonnay juice, fermented in stainless steel for 3 weeks, then transferred into old french oak for 8 months élevage, left untopped for a slow oxidation to happen.
Mineral and soft, one to savour. A timeless Chardonnay.

FUTURE 2023

More typical of a chardonnay than a sauvignon blanc. Coincidence? We don’t think so, given chardonnay being our main focus since 2012.
Varietal or not, it is lush and juicy. White peach and lychee compote. Effortless. Delicate.
We were looking to work with Sauvignon Blanc for a long time and always waited for some point in the future. In 2023 the stars aligned. The future has arrived, and it is looking promising!

STAY MELLOW 2023

Skin-contact Sémillon, 2 weeks on skins, then old French barrels for 9 months élevage, rested in the bottle for another 6 months, and now ready for the world.
Tight, takes a few seconds to open up, then thrives into quince, crème fraiche, slight oaky tones (despite the barrels being over 10 years old), obligatory white flowers and lemon rind. Salivary glands might get a workout. 
Sadly, last Sémillon from us for now!

SUNSHINE ON MY SKIN 2023

11th vintage for us with this amazing site. Fascinating geology: ancient creek bed, ironstone and a granite ridge. These complex features imbue the wine with complexity and make it unique. Cold season made it our latest pick of the year, to allow for some ripeness to finally settle in. Restraint. Spice and marmalade. Stone fruit and bergamot.

Another successful season from Ernst's inimitable vineyard in Sellicks Hill.
12th year for us. Blueberries, canned dark plums, cherry ripe, a lick of toffee and a stick of cinnamon. Mouthfilling. Precision. Acidity and tannins play hide and seek, and invite you to join. But you don’t, you’re here to enjoy the comfort.

The wonderful collaboration with Scintilla Wines is going strong for the 4th year!
All the red varieties made into wine in 2022 made it into this delicious drop too. Shiraz, Pinot noir, Tempranillo, and Grenache blended with the best aged organic grape spirit around, left in barrel for a year, untopped. Magical, light and smooth.
