It's been an exciting year, with us getting better acquainted with the vineyards and the new shed.
We are now as comfortable as we have ever been with our decision made 3 years ago to give up the last bits of sulfur we were still using in 2015. Another decision made 3 years ago was sticking exclusively to organically grown grapes, which at times means we get less fruit to choose from, and as a result lower volumes of some wines.
As always so far, the wines are a range of colours and characters, but, more so than usually, they are are showing purity and restraint (except the Viognier, that makes up for the rest, being a totally wild beast, so to speak). Along with the now usual Fawn, Unfurl and Sunshine, we've welcomed back All Fruits Ripe, and have taken onboard another Pinot from Carey Gully.
We're excited to present our 2017 Autumn wines and can't wait for them to start travelling and reach you all!
Thank you so much for the support and love!
Big love,
Alex & Galit
New Spring Wines!
Felicitations!
It’s almost too late for a spring release, but here we are with are spring wines.
2017 was a cold and wet season, which delayed everything by quite a while. Not the favourite setup for most, but we’ve found the results being quite spectacular - could be the best year we’ve had so far!
Naturally, the winemaking process was a bit more laborious, but paid off with wine being brighter, crunchier, full of flavour and really low on alcohol across the board.
Despite the challenging season for the growers, they’ve done a wonderful job, sticking to what we both believe in, be it the countless mowing passes to control the weeds or large-scale fruit thinning to maintain quality and avoid disease, they didn’t give up, and for that we are incredibly thankful.
Our new winery shed has been a great place to make wine at, but it wouldn’t be the same without Dave Caporalletti of Architects of Wine orderliness and James Madden of Little Things’ endless energy and general shenanigans (James’s just got his first wines released - check them out!)
Alright, to the business: we’ve got 3 pet nats that are all fizzy and more than ready for human consumption. Also, there are 2 new additions: an orange Viognier called Moments of Strange Magic and a light-ish Shiraz called Love Potion. And there is a blast from the past - Away with the Pixies Pinot!
All of the wines are made from grapes grown following organic viticulture principles (none are certified at this stage). All wines were made exclusively from grapes, with no additives of any kind used.
Check out the new release here!
Thank you so much for your support and for being a part of this journey.
Big love,
Alex & Galit xoxo

Nestled among the pines
Nestled among the pines, in front of our shed, Mark and Maya of Magnolia Mountain hid two beautifully handmade terracotta qvevri. They are filled with our Sellicks Hills Shiraz, slowly and coolly fermenting away.
We were so excited when Mark and Maya came with the idea for this little experiment and can't wait to taste the fruit of this magical collaboration! ✨
